Groove Returns From SiGMA Asia Manila With a Strong Momentum and New Market Horizons
We are happy to announce that Groove has just returned from an incredibly successful four-day trip to SiGMA Asia 2026. This event took place May 31 – June 3, 2026, at SMX Convention Center in Manila, Philippines. This year's edition of SiGMA was one of the largest iGaming events in the Asia Pacific annually, and proved to be a very fruitful experience for Groove Team (filled with many quality conversations, strategic connections and insights into the future direction of the region's fast-moving market).
In addition, Manila embodies a vibrant and welcoming to the international iGaming community, and SiGMA Asia 2026 was no different. The conference was a great opportunity for operators, suppliers, regulators, fintech innovators, and affiliates from throughout Southeast Asia and around the world, to mingle with one another in one of the most captivating international events to date.
Taking the Stage: Groove In the Spotlight
An important moment for us at the summit this year was the participation of one of our staff members in the highlight presentation at the conference. On the high-level panel, Groove’s representative, our Business Manager Director - Guisy Camo talked about different matters affecting the gaming industry in Asia and presented to the audience how to deal with some very significant problems in the market influencing the gaming sector there, namely regulatory issues of various Southeast Asian jurisdictions, the increasing necessity of creating localised content strategies, and how technology can assist the compliance with local laws of gaming companies that are entering an emerging market through technology partnerships.
Audience engagement at this panel was very high, and Groove has been advocating for the development of sustainable iGaming through not only good technology but also through true accountability, flexibility, and operator-focused partnerships.
This was a proud moment for our team as it represents another level of credibility and expertise that we have been developing over the years in this industry.
A Word From Our CEO
"Asia is not a single market - it is a constellation of distinct opportunities, each with its own regulatory landscape, player preferences, and pace of development. SiGMA Manila made that clearer than ever. What excites me most is that Groove is genuinely well-positioned to serve operators navigating this complexity. Our aggregation infrastructure, localisation tools, and platform flexibility were built with exactly these kinds of markets in mind. The conversations we had in Manila confirmed that the timing is right, and we are ready."
- Yahale Meltzer, CEO, Groove
Market Conversations That Matter: Entering Southeast Asia
The most significant aspect of SiGMA Manila 2026 from Groove's viewpoint was not just the show floor activity and panel discussions, but the productive strategy conversations that pertained to operating in Southeast Asia and accessing the Philippine market. Several companies at SiGMA, whether they were considering entering into a new market, searching for local partners that have proven aggregation infrastructure, or looking for scalable turnkey solutions, were all interested in the types of solutions our aggregation could provide.
The Philippines is becoming a critical iGaming hub in Asia with a regulatory landscape maturing quickly and purposefully. Participants discussed an overview of PAGCOR's licensing progress, cross-border compliance methods, and the application of localised player experience within a region where players are looking for increased opportunities than have previously existed.
In general, the APAC gaming landscape comprises markets with different regulatory maturity and players who are rapidly becoming more mobile-centric and utilising fintech solutions at a growing rate. All of these factors reaffirm what Groove has been working towards over a long period of time. The overall demand for reliable, highly integrated APIs to meet the needs of diverse jurisdictions without compromising quality or compliance is growing too.
Partnerships, Platform Demos and The Road Ahead
The SiGMA Asia Conference (2026) allowed us to showcase Groove’s entire platform offering, including Game Aggregation Layer, Marketing API, and Turnkey Solutions such as Back Office, CRM, Payments Gateway and Business Intelligence Systems. We received an extremely positive reception and as a result, we opened up numerous discussions with many of the attendees about various partnership opportunities for the development of new initiatives through the remainder of 2026.
The demand for flexible, compliant aggregator partners will be strong from the gaming operators who deliver in Asia. Our team came back from Manila with a full calendar of follow-up meetings and greater clarity around what parts of our product roadmap can deliver maximum value to operators who operate within these geographic regions.
Building on Manila
As we know, the SiGMA 2026 conference in Asia proved to be further evidence of the importance of meeting live with colleagues at industry events (i.e., face-to-face) instead of relying solely on technology to communicate with each other; this is because meeting live creates an atmosphere where you can get to know each other better as individuals over a longer period.
For us, this event was more than just a conference, it was also a statement of intent regarding our long-term aspirations to expand our presence in the iGaming industry in one of the fastest-growing market segments (i.e., online gaming) in the world. We are excited about what we have witnessed, we found many great partners and operators to work with, and we are determined to capitalize on the enthusiasm we received from each of you.
To everyone who met with us at the conference, participated in a presentation, or just connected with us on the show floor - we thank you all. We look forward to continuing that dialogue moving forward.
Please continue to follow Groove's 2026 calendar as we will have many more events to announce soon!
