Groove Comes Home From SBC Summit Florida With Fresh Perspectives and Growing North American Footprint
Groove has returned from SBC Summit Florida, one of the greatest iGaming and sports wagering conventions in North America. Taking place in the middle of Florida, this year brought together a diverse group from across all areas of gaming (operators, regulators, platform vendors, and affiliates) - People who would together create one of the most exciting and challenging regulated gaming markets in the world.
For us, Florida was not just a checkpoint of the conference. We are deliberately moving forward with our partnership and collaboration with the North American gaming industry. This event has provided us with an opportunity to listen, showcase and extend the partnerships we have built with those generating the next evolution of regulated gaming in North America.
What The Floor Was Telling Us
SBC Summit Florida was a key moment in the industry. Exhibitors and meeting rooms were filled with talks about how industry continues to redefine itself with the US changing from state-by-state regulations and operating companies changing their systems to support long-term growth, while also recognising that finding the right partnership with an aggregator or platform is not as important as having a partnership with someone you can trust.
The overall energy was very targeted and business-like, as the attendees came to the show having specific agendas, which were evident in the quality of discussion within all parts of the exhibit areas. At Groove, we enjoy being a part of environments like this.
Putting the Platform in Front of the Right People
The scale of response to Groove's showcase of its entire product range in real time at SBC Florida was one of the most gratifying features of this exhibition. From our game aggregation via the thousands of title providers - both established and emerging - to our complete turnkey platform solution (including Back Office, CRM, Payments Gateway, and BI Systems), we received a positive response across the board.
Particularly popular was the range of services Groove provides via a single integration point. This is a critical consideration for operators trying to meet the regulatory standards and localised obligations arising from operating in the US market, and having the ability to provide a single trusted, proven infrastructure for all technology solutions is no longer an option — it is an essential element to having a competitive edge. Groove's offering is addressing that need head-on, and our discussions have shown there is a clear desire for what we offer.
New Territories, New Conversations
One of the most significant factors during Groove's time at SBC Florida was evaluating potential market entry options, especially regarding both the US and Latin America. Both of them are quickly developing into new gaming markets, benefiting from improved regulations and a growing player base.
The complexity of the US gaming space is evident in that each US state has different rules and regulations governing how operators must respond to the new laws and regulations around online gaming. Notably, however, is that all operators, regardless of how far along they are in their journey to becoming licensed and launching a platform, can see a similar transition across US States - movement toward more unified regulations across the US; in other words, a consistent business strategy can be executed across many states, even if there are multiple state-specific licensing requirements.
As a result, many operators we spoke with were focused on identifying the platform and aggregation partners that could support them at both launch and in their growth phases; this discussion became even more upbeat because Groove is flexible in how we work with our retail and iGaming partners, is compliance-ready, and has a full catalogue of content.
Latin America added a layer to our conversations, as many of the operators we spoke with are seeking to pursue opportunities in both the US and Latin America simultaneously, and given that Groove can support operators looking to develop in these markets by providing localised content, multi-currency payment options, and flexible back-end tools, we are positioned to be a natural partner for operators who wish to pursue both markets.
The Bigger Picture
SBC Summit Florida backed up what Groove has known for some time: that the North American market rewards partners who are committed to building real relationships, demonstrating technical depth, and providing proof of commitment through ongoing presence - not just at launch but also throughout the growth process.
We leave Florida with a clearer grasp of market direction, an expanded number of relationships developed, and a great deal of momentum for a number of new partnership opportunities. Now we begin the work of following up, and we are ready to go.
The Groove team's footprint on the North American conference circuit is rapidly growing. Stay tuned!
